off topic.. but I've always wondered what tourists must think when them come to staid, quiet Geneva and then are confronted with the sights (!!!?!?? ) and SOUNDS !!!!! of the Lake Parade.

What practical last minute accomodation options do I have if I can't get a hotel in or around the City ? Would love to pop down on Saturday, will have to be by train as flights are coming up with silly prices. Can go back Sunday some time...but will need to put my head down for a few hours before Monday...

Well, bad news for me. My back's aching again, I have to see my osteopath tomorrow morning. It did that already last week, but well, hope.....
One thing is sure, I won't attend the parade this year
