thers a place in germany were its all you can eat. chinese,japanese and mongolian its only 14 eurous. but realy good. its called asia 5 sterne. its in lorrach only 20 minutes from basel.

Weekday lunchtimes there's a buffet at Xiao Lu (小露露) on Elisabethenstrasse 44. It's 19Fr and very good.

we went the other week, it was plain nasty.

cost was 17 euro, floor sticky, greasy plates, unclean cutlery. the fresh cooked "mongolian" section took ages to be delivered to the extent food was cold.

the hot buffet section was very greasy and didnt look like it had been cleaned for a long time, food was swimming in oil.

it was however very busy, i noticed a lot of "large" people there so guess the all you can eat buffet played a part

Very tasty takeaway Chinese food is sold weekdays at lunchtime from outside a Chinese clothes shop on Pluggässlein (just off Freiestrassse next to Thalia ).

I have bee to Lotus in Lorrach and it is very good. The staff was also nice. The potion size was small though. Hong Kong China rest. on main markplatz is also very good. went there last week and food was excellent, for 3 people starter, main and drinks (non alcho) was around 50 EUR. highly recommended

we went to the lotus tonight, i wouldnt say it was excellent but it wasnt bad either.

the running band buffet is a timed set up - you have 90 mins before you need to leave and the next sitting comes in.
