I'm organizing a few dinner events in November and am looking for recommendations for good, not all too expensive restaurants serving modern & international cuisine in Zürich.

I've heard that Gastrognome is the man to talk too. would love your feedback. If possible please send it to me directly.

Can't recommend the restaurant in the Helvetia highly enough - great cocktail bar downstairs too. Some items are expensive but if you order wisely it shouldn't work out too ugly on the wallet...

Thanks Paul! I'll look into it. I'm doing four events, so am open to more suggestions from anyone else too.

There's two places I'd highly recommend:

Die Giesserei: Exceptionally well priced, for one of the best restaurants (food, wine, ambience, design, service) I've dined at (globally). At bit out of the way though, based in Oerlikon.

Coco's Bar and Restaurant: Smack in the centre of Zürich. A little pricey though, don't know what budget you tend to dine on.

Both places have changing menu's, Coco's is on a daily basis, Giesserie on a weekly one. The former usually let's its chefs decide on a fish/meat (you can call in advance as a veggie and let them know) dish to serve to their liking, usually grilled. Giesserie always has a meat, fish and vegetarian dish on their varying menu.

Organic, seasonal food at Restaraunt Tuefi in Seefeld is always good. Large enough for events while keeping a charming character.

Thanks to everyone so far. Here are some specific requirements:
- Modern international cuisine
- 6-7 courses
- Can seat up to 35 for a closed function
- Nice decor
- price for food up to 150.00 a person for the full menu

I don't know if you fancy Indian. There is a restaurant Kerala in Zurich which I think by far is the best indian food I have ever had in Switzerland. The prices are reasonable as well. Good interiors

Is this price just for food or for drink as well?

It's . . . um . . . alright.

The menu is a bit identikit . . . meat courses I've had there are typically (as per the Züri-style) rather overcooked my for my taste.

Good cocktail bar though.
