They have lots of information for parents in Zurich, including a list of play groups.

Monday Canterbury Group: contact Hester
Wednesday Canterbury Group: international playgroup 0-5 years meets every Wednesday 14:30-16:60 at St Andrews Church. Contact Annie Unsworth Thursday Canterbury Group: English speaking playgroup 0-5 years meets at St. Andrew's Hall. Thursdays 14:45-16:45

The American Women's Club of Zurich has a mom and tots group on Wednesday mornings. Not sure if you have to be a member to join the group. You can find info about it at: http://www.awczurich.org/index.php?o...&Itemid=100008

I can recommend you WAC playgroups http://www.wac.ch. WAC is in Uster, but there is a very good train connection from Zurich HB.

In case anybody in future is searching for playgroups and comes across this post, there are updates on the three Canterbury groups (e:mail addresses written in Spam unfriendly format, even if the originals above weren't ):

Monday am Canterbury group is still going strong but I'm leaving (was the contact point above) so the new contact is Heather
Wednesday pm Canterbury group is now defunct.

Thursday pm Canterbury group (now known as Ready, Steady, Go playgroup) is about to change contacts

No there isn't an internet link - sorry, very old fashioned but that's the way it goes. Since my e:mail address had appeared in full further up in the thread for more than a year without me being inundated with spam, I'd rather the 'safe' e:mails remained. But if spam friendly ain't good, remove all references to the Canterbury group and we have to hope people find us through FIZ (where full e:mails are in use).
