Looking for a doctor – (http://www.doctor.ch/doctor.html) or www.doktor.ch (select English) - This list of doctors covers the whole of Switzerland (choose Canton for quick reference). There are link to the doctor's Homepage and/or further information including telephone numbers, email addresses, map to show locality etc.. Also included is often information about the languages they are fluent in and other details of their practice.

Looking for a doctor – only in German http://www.doctorfmh.ch/

If looking for a doctor in Canton Geneve, http://www.amge.ch/medecins/annuaire-des-medecins/ is generally better than just doctor.ch, as it is a bit more detailed and updated.

If you are sick and you don't have a doctor and are in Zurich or can get there, there's a great clinic in the Zurich HB station.

You can just walk in, they give you a number and you can either wait there or leave and check the numbers on their website on your smart phone. There is an adjoining pharmacy for prescriptions. If your insurance doesn't cover it, it's not too expensive. It costs 16chfs for each 5 minutes and 8chfs for the last 5 minutes. I had a good chat with an awesome doctor in English who totally solved my problem in 15 minutes, for a total of 39.50 chfs.
