We have to go through this procedure soon. We would like to request any Indian parents present here .... who have gone through the same procedure..if you can please guide us through this..
First requirement is the birth certificate of parents..if we can have a copy of your birth certificate which you got from India to register your new born, that will be great..just to avoid the future objections in the format from Swiss authorities

Hi, There is no specific format expected by Swiss embassy.
Only requirement is it should be in English or attached a notary attested english translation and it must be issued in last 6 month at the time of submission.
Birth certificate must be legalized by both state and center home ministry.
This process takes a lot of time, So Good Luck for you.

Well to make matters more difficult, these certificates must not be older than 6 months and need a bunch of stamps from various offices scattered all over the country
