I was looking for some help...i have been looking for an english speaking doctor in Bern as I need to go ASAP. My german is not at a level that i could attempt to explain my situation well enough. I have had no luck in finding one, and wondered if any one knew of someone??

Failing that, can i visit a doctor in Zurich (i work there, so it is the next logical place to go). I have seen on the forum there are english speaking doctors here. Do i just need to ensure that my health insurance covers me at this practice?

I am still in the process of arranging my health insurance, and find it all a bit confusing

I think i need a general doctor in the first instance, and then will be referred to a specialist.

i think every doctor speaks English. My doctor is very fluent in English and also very nice and intelligent one. He,s General Physician. If u wanna visit, his name and address is as follows:

If you decide to go to a doctor in Zurich, the clinic at the HB has doctors that are quite fluent in English IME. And there is the added bonus of being able to go outside of work times.

I went to The Permanence clinic at Zurich HB last week. It was busy (I hadnt made an appointment), I took a number and waited about an hour. The doc spoke perfect english & was very friendly. I think if you call ahead, you'll get an appointment for 1 or 2 days time, otherwise you can just call in. And there was no problem that I didnt have my health insurance sorted out yet, I could just pay cash.
