Re: information/feedback on English day cares in Basel
Hi there,
I know a lot of parents who use different day cares and are happy with them, from local to English speaking ones. For me the important thing was that I felt comfortable, not only with the people, but the place and their settling in process.
Saying that, for these reasonas AND reasons of convenience (location, ease of getting home/to daycare/to work, my daughter has been at Littlefoot for approximatly 2 years, and we are thrilled with it.
From my perspective, it is the ideal 'in between' because it is a bilingual day care, and our daughter now speaks German as easily as she speaks English, which, in my opinion is an absolutely invaluable skill. I had to learn my second language 'the hard way', as an adult! I like the idea that she will grow up speaking German just as easily as she speaks English, and that she is accustomed to a multilingual environment.
I have found Littlefoot to be very caring and supportive and their staff very capable, professional and passionate in their work.
I you have any specific questions, please feel free to message me.
