Mucus bulb sucker - German translation needed

Hi guys,

Every now and then my daughter coughs up some sticky mucus and starts choking on it - this morning was the worst. We've taken her to the Doctor who didn't seem to be too bothered by it (fool!) and I've been looking online to find that it's not that uncommon.

I want to buy one of these helpful looking mucus bulb suckers demonstrated in the below video but I don't know what it's called in German.

Does anyone know what I should ask for at the pharmacy?

Thanks
Kash.

Re: Mucus bulb sucker - German translation needed

I have watched a suction tube being used effectively on a baby, over the last few days. But the one I observed was transparent and had a long tube that the parent gently sucked through until the mucus was removed from the nose. (possibly Canadian made) It was very effective, definitely relieving the nasal congestion.

You may find the contents of this thread of interest, some suggestion and discussion of various "nasensauger" devices.

Snot clearing machine!

This thing sounds quite scary but we tried it and is actually absolutely fantastic.
