My father-in-law died recently and the estate is going through probate in the UK at the moment. Our solicitor there is dealing with all that, but she informed us that once she has sorted everything out she will send us some paperwork that needs to be checked over and signed by an independent solicitor who understands UK probate/inheritance law. Does anyone know of any legal firms in Switzerland who could handle this? I'm based near Fribourg, but I'm not really worried if they're based elsewhere in the country. Any help/info appreciated.

Seems like the UK Probate Service are happiest when its done by a public notary. Luckily the Swiss solicitor who handled our house purchase is also a public notary and he was quite happy to do it for us. Took about 15 minutes and he isn't even going to charge us. Probate now granted and the estate can now be wound up.
