Hi,

I am looking for advice from people who have actually had their babies at either of these hospitals. I am deciding between two and would like to hear some other peoples experiences.

I gave birth in the Hirslanden. Very nice hospital, more like a 5 star hotel

Overall great experience (I'd had 4 previous stays in this hospital before giving birth) always great experience.

My only 2 negatives was their breast feeding support. I had difficulties and they were quite quick to offer formula. Also they recommend 4 hourly feeds. If you plan to breast feed then be confident to feed your baby when you want and as often as you want to help your supply

I also gave birth in Hirslanden and it was a great experience, the nurses were so nice and patient, I found that they were very pro breast feeding but yes they did recommend 4 hourly feeds which didnt really work for me and I came out with formula top ups. The food is great and it really is like stopping in a 4* hotel.

This is why I don't think they are very good with breast feeding support. If their four hourly feeding routine results in formula top us then something is wrong. I wish they would review this. If you are clued up and confident in breast feeding then it's all great there
