Find a new doctor or consider seeing a midwife instead. You don't even have to have an 'examination' anyway - not an internal one - it doesn't tell the doctor anything much except 'you are pregnant'...except if they are checking to make sure it's not a 'tubal' pregnancy. Not sure what the doctor was looking for, doing an internal ultrasound at 6 weeks - you wouldn't even see a heartbeat at that stage of the pregnancy..
On the other hand, if you are 'phobic', well, the 'specialist' for that is definitely a psychologist...

So sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Pregnancy is definitely a time when you need someone you're comfortable with, and who you feel understands what you're going through.
You said the doctor did a transvaginal ultrasound but didn't see anything? I'm not sure I understand as this suggests a blighted ovum.

First learn how to use spell check. Text speak is annoying.
Then go somewhere else. Your doctor suggests going to a psychologist because you are nervous about what i assume is your first pregnancy and you are still there? Why?
Just make an appointment with someone else

Are you absolutely sure you are pregnant? Did you do a pregnancy test at home and it was positive?

If you are 6 weeks she would have seen the sac with the embryo inside, maybe even with a heartbeat.
Did you do a pee or blood test to confirm pregnancy?
I am sorry you had a bad experience today.
You have a couple of choices, wait about 2 weeks, test again. Find another doctor or as suggested go to a midwife.
Good luck

I had one of these ultrasounds at 7 weeks and we most certainly picked up a heart beat. I personally felt it was slightly unnecessary, but given that it was during an appointment to organise IVF and given that all previous tests had shown there was a very low possibility of us ever having another baby, even with assistance, I can sort of understand our doctor's eagerness to check this out thoroughly!
My understanding is that from 6 weeks onwards, these ultrasounds do have a certain diagnostic benefit.

At 6 weeks, it's extremely early to tell on a scan if your pregnancy has taken or not. You might need to wait a week or more to be sure.

in the mean time i need to find out a good gync-help pls! | | | | | Please bear in mind that pregnancy 'symptoms' might also be psychologically induced... When I was trying to get pregnant, each time I was a few days late for my periods I would start to have 'symptoms', as sometimes when you want sthg so much your mind makes you happy by creating it...
It's very unlikely that a pregnancy doesn't show on a vaginal scan at 6 weeks...
Your doc might very well be tactless or plain rude, but might he be right in thinking you need to see a psychologist about some unresolved issue?
I'm not judging you in anyway, just trying to help. Good luck to you.
