I hope you guys don't mind me plugging this a bit on here as well - it's already in the calendar but I this is a really useful event for parents to come along to so I think it's worth giving it an extra note as so many people want to know about Swiss school.
Anyway, the Basel Children's Trust is running its Early Years of Education information evening on Swiss school (the public school system) again this year. This is a really good opportunity to find out about how Swiss school works, ask all those questions, and get informed generally. The Basel Stadt education dept will be there, the German as a 2nd language people and a primary school teacher from Basel Land too. Also several parents with kids in Swiss school to share their experiences too (including me naturally

.)
All the presentations and Q&A are in English and it's completely free of charge. It's open to everyone - BCT members and non members are all welcome.
So, do come if you have pre-school, kindergarten, early primary age kids.
It's on Thursday 26th January, 7 to 9pm at the Hotelbildungszentrum 21, Missionstrasse 21, Basel.
Hope to see you there.
