Guexi Waldkrippe-any experience?

Hello!

I searched but found nothing on this Waldkrippe so thought I would ask if any parents have experience with Guexi overall or their Waldkrippe.

My daughter is in another krippe but am thinking of sending her there 1 day a week to go to the forest

Thanks for any advice!

Cheers,

K

Re: Guexi Waldkrippe-any experience?

No idea about Guexi but our 3 year old has been going to Waldspielgruppe one day a week since last August. She loves it. They go rain, shine or snow and only cancel it when it is too windy. I think that it is a cool experience as they usually do some art project out of stuff they find in the forest, start a fire to cook their wienerlis for lunch and trudge around in the deep snow (or mud depending on the season) for 4 hours. She even got her first Swiss Army knife for Christmas and is learning how to use it safely.

Must have good-quality clothing and shoes (H&M or similar won't cut it). Throw an extra pair of gloves/mittens in the backpack and a thermos of something warm to drink is nice on cold days (Supposed to be -15 when she heads out tomorrow).

At the beginning of the year, many of the kids were hesitant but the ones that stuck with it really enjoy it.

Thanks for your reply

You touched on another fear I have which is "will she like it" but I have seen some of her friends and I think they do tend to enjoy it.

My daughter is 3.5 and with us she refuses to walk much but with her own krippe and when other kids are there it is fine, so I think she will just get on with it!

Will have a visit later this month to talk with the person responsible and post again if any news for other thread users!

Ciao
K

Re: Guexi Waldkrippe-any experience?

Just wanted to update thread: we have gone for a trial day and really liked it. They have amazing infrastructure and the kids seem really happy there.

My daughter will join 1 day a week for the Wald as of July

Cheers,
K
