Looking for any English playgroups, in Kriens or Luzern

Hi Sarab, Just wondered whether you found any English Playgroups in Luzern? I will be moving to Luzern in a couple of months and will also be looking for some.

Hija, No I havnt found any yet, but have been given a list of places so when i find the time I am going to check it out, I do know there is a few in Zurich but to travel there for a couple of hours is a bit wasteful.
Would be great if there was one right on my door step, I would be there all the time.
I will keep you posted if you would like and let you know if I find anything?

Hi Sarab, We are moving to Kriens and my wife will give birth in a month. I know it doesnt help on the play group, but she is looking to join/start a mums coffee group probably in a couple o months...

I'm also about to 'pop' in a month and know of many new mommies here that would be very keen for a coffee meet up.

In fact Im sure theres something in place already. Also there are play groups.

I'm so excited to see livinginluzern.info in this thread! My name is Joy Foster and I actually run Living in Luzern. It would be so nice to meet you both.

Just so you know (and anyone else who is reading this post)... we run four playgroups as well as pre and postnatal fitness classes. Pre-birthing courses in English are also available depending on your needs.

Our current playgroups:
Monday 10-11:30 Toddlers
Monday 3-4:30 Toddlers
Thursday 10-11:30 Baby
Friday 10-10:45 Preschool age Dance/Movement

Our current classes:
Saturday 9:30-10:45am Pre/Postnatal Yoga

Buggyfit and Kindermusik will be starting mid-May. Buggyfit is for both pre and postnatal women.

Oh wow thank you Joy, that all sounds wonderful.
I have a daughter whom is 2 and a son ha just turned 1, will they both be able to attend the toddlers group? My daughter is also VERY interested in dance, I suppose she will be to young do that? Do. You or anyone else know what age children can start ballet? Or even gymnastics? We will be seeing you very soon, look forward to it

Hi, You can also check out the International Women's Club of Lucerne. They have a very active Mums and Tots group that meets on Friday mornings from 10 to 12. They also have a French speaking Mums and Tots group and will be starting a 4+ group very soon. Their website is www.iwcl.net
