I shall go for a shoulder surgery and I have to go to Stadtspital Waid Zurich because the surgeon I have chosen does surgery there for people with general healthcare insurance.
Does anybody have any experience with this Hospital?
The number in comparis.ch are a little bit under average.....

My mum ended up in Waidspital last year. She had a chest infection and I could not wake her up. We rang an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital. She spent a week in intensive care and a week in a 2 bed room on a ward.

She received excellent care which luckily was covered by the E111 as she had not taken out travel insurance and in any case it was a pre existing condition.

I have only praise for the nurses in Intensive Care who dealt with a very paranoid and scared lady once she was conscious but not really compos mentis!

My mum thinks Swiss hospitals are wonderful (apart from the foreign food!) and of a much higher standard than her local UK hospital where she unfortunately spent 3 weeks of January.

Yes was there 58 years ago had my appendix removed the nurses where young and --never mind --.But there not there anymore I assume
