Broken Ankle in Zermatt? Where do I go?

I slipped last night on ice after skiing here for only one and a half days into my vacation. I have kept my foot elevated all night and it is throbbing and swollen. Is my best bet to go to the hospital?

I am new on this site.

Thanks, P.K. Fields

Hospital! Or call the emergency number (local docs should be able to tell you) It's not only for life-threatening conditions, but also for smaller accidents, and for tourists too. But make sure you take money or credit card with you.....

If the OP is living here, then they will have accident insurance, there will be nothing to pay. A residents permit might be a good idea.

He gives his location as Los Angeles.
At least he'll be used to paying for health care I suppose.
