Kindergarten/Hort question(Adliswil)

Good morning
The schools/horts are closed next few weeks so unable to ring for answers so perhaps someone here can help..
Our daughter will go to local kindergarten(Adliswil) this August and we need after school Hort/mittags tisch 2 days a week. The problem is both closest kindis she may be assigned to are quite far from the Hort which is almost in the middle of town. I know they encourage kids to walk to school, but surely she(at just turned 4) is not expected to walk several km's and cross a busy mail road on her own?
Does someone from the hort collect the kindergarten kids or how does it work? Do all the Hort kids then go to the same kindergarten as can't imagine them doing a 5 school pick-up everyday.
Many thanks in advance-really feeling a bit lost with all this school business

You really need to ask what the policy is. It seems to be different everywhere.

You won't be the first parent to have asked this question.

Re: Kindergarten/Hort question(Adliswil)

We recieved a big package of info from the School authorities along with enrolment forms last month.

There was an info night scheduled, and a listing of all the Hort programmes.

I suggest you contact the 'Schuldienst' - school information office - and ask them. I'm aware that they might register your child according to the Hort you need, or make other suggestions.

There are also private Hort programmes around - on Tuesdays the Tufi-Hof take kindergarteners and the lady who runs the programme comes up to our school to pick the kids up with the horse and buggy....
