Normally I am very international and have lived in Zurich for 1.5 years now with purely international friends whom I love dearly. But I come from Singapore and i am feeling extremely homesick in this moment I have a 1 year old daughter and would love to meet others. So here is a shout out to all Asian moms. If your look around the new Threads on here, like for three or four months, you'll see a steady stream of threads, mostly from new members, looking for friends with certain things in common with them. Some of the threads get replies some don't. But with the steady flow of new posts each day, yours will slip off the front page very quickly indeed.

You found the forum - how about looking around for other posts with similar requests? That way you may be able to join people who already meet. Reply to other people's threads instead of hoping that someone will see yours. Check out the Asian food threads and see who posts regularly there. Check out their other posts and threads.

I know a lady from singapore that goes to WAC in uster, 5 min train from zurich!
Google wac.ch and you should find it, she has a 2 year old and a 5 year old. She has been here only a couple of months and misses home too im sure!
