Does anyone know of a website that provides German / English translation of medication, including both generic and proprietary names ?

Hmm, the closest I can suggest is combining the Arzneimittelkompendium der Schweiz and the RXList as in both cases you will see what the active component of the medication is, allowing you to find it both in English and German.

ETA: The Ritaline was just the search I did to check what exactly comes up and whether it's any use as I am familiar with the stuff.
