We have just moved into the Kilchberg area with kids of 7 & 5 (boy and girl). Can anyone recommend classes/activities like dancing, soccer, gymnastics, playgroups etc in the area as I'm not having much luck so far finding anything. We are going to the local school in the area. Many thanks.

There is a nice farm in Kilchberg at the top of the hill. Also the swimming pool (indoor) offers lessons.
Also I am sure there are karate lessons, on a wednesday I think. http://www.indonesiankarate.ch/index.php?id=88&type=98 I was going to try this for my son but it clashed with another class he had on wednesday. The lady speaks english.
The badi will be the place to be in the Summer, its a good way for the children to see thier school friends out of school I think. Down the road in Rüschlikon it is free to enter.
Sometimes local librarys are worth a look. I dont know if Kilchberg has a toy library (Ludo Thek) but the Geminder will tell you that.

My children are a similar age to yours and really enjoy it.
This weekend is the annual show in Thalwil. (Sat 18.00, Sun 16.00, details on the webpage) and lessons will restart after the summer break. The show is looking really good, the 30 children have fantastic animal costumes and it's worth seeing if you have time this weekend, especially if your children might be interested in joining the group!
