Mum's Group in Uster

Hello,

Not sure if this fits 'Family Matters/Health' but here goes

I'm looking to set up a group to meet Mums in Uster or surrounding areas. Although we go out quite a bit to meet other parents I think its important her her to meet more children her age, some of the children are a little young compared to her.
Not that I'm complaining I get on really well with the Mum's, I just feel she needs a little more exposure to children her age.

So what I'm asking is - Is there anyone out there with toddlers around 18 months?

Thanks for taking the time to read this, H

Dear Hannah -- The WAC is an English speaking club in Uster and has playgroups several times a week. You can see all the info on the website at www.wac.ch

Hope this helps.

Re: Mum's Group in Uster

Hello,

I'll be moving to Switzerland at the end of this month, to join my husband in Uster. I have two children, a daughter aged 3 and a son aged 18 months and would be interested in meeting up. I won't know anyone!

Feel free to send me a message.

Re: Mum's Group in Uster

Hi, I know this thread was started a little while ago now, but has a group been started?

I don't live too far from Uster and have two kids aged 2 and 5. I am sure my two would love some play dates (as would his Mum )

Please PM me.

Re: Mum's Group in Uster

Just curious to ask you local Uster ladies - do you have any experience with German classes here in town- I have seen classes at the WAC, something called "abc courses" that seem to be semi-official (?) in the family center and then there is the HEKS conversation but unfortunately none right here in Uster. There are also some private language schools I have found on the internet..it is always great to get some insider tips!

Re: Mum's Group in Uster

Hello again,

I move out next week, so would be interested in meeting up with Mummies in early September with my 3 and 1 year olds in tow! Please let me know who would like to meet up, what days are good for people and where is best to meet up in Uster.

I look forward to a natter with some of you!

Hi gissur

I go to the abc Deutsche course at the family centre and really enjoy it. The pace is not too intensive which is ideal if you have little ones. A1 is 2 hours twice a week while A2 and B1 is 2 hours once a week (more homework though). Also there is a A2 and B1 conversation class which is good for practice.

Does anyone have the details for the family centre German course details? I really want to get back into my German since my class was cancelled.

It depends on your level of German and if there is a place available (due to someone pulling out). The next term starts in October but send an email to Elizabeth as she will be able to advise.
