Herbstferien kindercamp Zug / Zurich

Hello

I need to fill the 2 weeks gap in October (Herbstferien) and before importing a grandma I was thinking that I should try first to find a holiday camp in Zug or Zurich from 8am until 6-7pm ideally. Any ideas? They will turn 6y. during these 2 weeks.

Thank you in advance!

Zürich city has its own holiday program, it's called "Fit und Ferien"

www.stadt-zuerich.ch/ferienangebote

they're good and affordable, kids from other cantons pay a bit more.

I'm sure your canton has its own similar program.

Thank you so much for the info. We are in Zurich canton but so close to Zug that both work depending on the exact location.

I have checked the website but it seems they do not offer 2 full weeks & full time.... Quite complex when both parents work!!

have you asked the school if they or the canton organise a "Hort" for working parents covering the whole holidays?

Yes, I have. My children already go to the Hort. However the Hort only covers 1 week and only if they consider that enough children have signed up. Las time, one week before holidays I was notified that there was no Hort because too few children had signed up (only 3 and 2 of them were mine!)

Re: Herbstferien kindercamp Zug / Zurich

sorry to hear that, I understand how frustrating...
coming from a big italian family we were lucky not to have to worry and carted the kids off to grandparents and relatives... and when this was not possible wetried to used our imagination.
would this be a possible solution? do you have relatives or friends you can send them to or friends' older children who could come and babysit for free in change for seeing switzerland?

over the years we have tried more or less everything out and it has done the kids a great deal of good, making them uncomplicated and independent.

on the other hand, sorry, maybe your situation is completely different and it wouldn't work.

Re: Herbstferien kindercamp Zug / Zurich

If you are still searching for a solution, futura Montessori dayschool in Baar is offering holiday care in both weeks of Canton Zug school holidays in October (8-12 and 15-19). I did not check if this matches with Zurich school holidays... More information are available on www.futuraschule.com Caring times are from 7 am to 5 pm, costs are CHF 300 per child/week (including breakfast, lunch, snacks). Kids are going on daily trips to Museum, Zoo, Swimming pool, etc. In the past they also offered creative activities.
