As a continuation to the moms on the 'lonely young mom ...' thread, I was wondering if there are any other moms in central zurich who would like to meet for a short while in central zurich once a week? I would love to have some interaction with other Moms - and so would my 6 mo!!We are at the tail end of most playgroup waitlists - sigh!

I know this thread is quite old but I was wondering if there are any moms in Zurich (town or closer area) with toddlers who would like to find some new friends to go for walks or to playgrounds - I am Swiss but married to a Canadian, we have a 2 year old boy and a 3 month old baby - I know quite a few moms with babies now but almost none with toddlers around his age.
I'll be going back to work in June Mon-Wed but am always available Thurs-Sun (with hubby working shifts and not being around most weekends)..

This is a very active Zurich-based group. Costs 30CHFs to join, but its really a great group! They meet up at each others houses, parks, museums, cafes, and even do a mum's night out every now and again. Its all organised over the internet, so you can just choose what you want to go to. I have found them super friendly and nice. Go on, join!

(PS - the 30CHFs joining fee goes for paying for renting rooms for the christmas party, food for the summer BBQ, and running the meetup site etc.)

I don't see why a mum-to-be can't join, i suppose its a way of seeing what you can get up to once the little one is there, and a way to meet people! Perhaps unusual though... The 30CHFs sign up fee is for one calender year, so it doesn't matter if you sign up now or after the birth...

I know the LLL encourage mums-to-be to come along to their meetings - if you're planning on breastfeeding at all, then maybe you could try the english speaking in group in Zurich - link here. Maybe a good way to multitask - meet some mums/mums-to-be and also make good contacts for english-speaking bfeeding support.
