Vasectomy is a ( generally) irreversible method of contraception

Nope because I didn't say it wasn't irreversible even in my first post but it us generally considered to be the case. My post was realistic.

I know people who've had successful reversals and others who haven't and nobody should have a vasectomy based on the premise that it's reversible because there's a good chance it won't be.

What did the doc tell you when you had yours done?
Bloody hell why can't some people just admit they're wrong.

You said as quoted above. "Vasectomy is an irreversible method of contraception" Wrong, it is irreversible.
You added in "(generally)" which would indicate that most often it is ireversable. Again wrong. More often than not it is successful.

The fact is that in most cases it is completely reversible, however the success rate of producing sperm afterwards is not 100% but is in the range of 55%-75% depending on who you speak to.

Which would mean and what you should have written in your first post.

Vasectomy is a ( generally) reversible method of contraception, however the success rate varies and you should consult your doctor if you are thinking about it rather than believe what's written on a forum, as on a forum some people write things they believe to be true but are in fact completely wrong.

You don't need to admit you're wrong just learn from your mistake.

And you're welcome.

Why the hell do you put me into this? What's the connection with me?
If you could have been bothered to read my next post on the thread you'd have gotten your answer:

Tenuous - if you look at Nil's post she brings up rape - I (chose) to bring up violence towards children. Happily admit to being off topic.

I just realized that by not posting a positive experience I am not helping others who may search this topic. So, 3 months post vasectomy and we are very pleased with the result. Aside from a slight pulling sensation and a bit of a swollen nut for a few days everything went smoothly and worked painlessly within 3 days. I went swimming the following week and within a month was back to cycling.

For anyone considering having this done I cannot recommend Dr. Cinbis enough. Here is the link to his practice in Basel

And he speaks English.

There are men who feel that having the snip will affect their masculinity. They are wusses and scaredy-cats. I heap scorn on their insecurity. Those who'd put their wives through a more dangerous operation are, additionally, selfish. Those who choose to not have the snip for other reasons may still be "real men".

Surreal men have fish, and so don't need to worry.

Re: Urologist for Vasectomy

nope. velocity, volume, and taste no change.

More on topic although I spoke German with Dr. Cinbis he does speak English as well so once again anyone in need of a urologist in Basel I can only speak highly of him.

Only 2-5% of semen is sperm, so that is the expected result. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semen#...of_human_semen
