Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

If all else fails ...... CASTOR OIL. It tastes awful, gives you gripes in stomach as it loosens everything up........ and makes you *hi*.

For serious seeker of constipation cure as above - the German name for it is "Ritzinersoel" or something like that however it`s actually spelt.

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

Found very good feedback from a company based in America.

They have a product called Digestic and people who have used it all say that this natural product really has changed there way of dealing with this issue.

Problem is they don't ship to Switzerland.

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

Lot of good advices by the previous posters.
I would also advice to go to the doctor and rule out any significant medical causes of constipation.
I drink about 500 ml of lukewarm water early morning before I brush my teeth.
Warm water stimulates gut movement . One can think of it as 'flushing out ' therapy which happens Within an hour. One has to be consistent for a few days for get optimal results though .

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

I had that problem once in India in 2005. Towards the end of the flight to Mumbai, the need to perform a biological evacuation occurred, but I decided that the procedure can wait for the luxury of the hotel.

But in the hotel, nothing. The day after I flew to Visakhapatnam and then a drive down to Rajamundri.. Stayed in a flea-pit of a hotel, dined in well dodgy restaurants.. Nothing. Went to site (power station), ate their food. Nothing. For a week. Nothing, and it felt like I had a bowling ball sitting in my belly.

By the end of the week, it was quite uncomfortable, and I thought that I would go straight to the docs after returning. But, when I got back to my flat, Mr. Turtle popped his head out out to say 'hello world' as soon I stepped through the door - and then all was well. Odd, well odd.

I must be the only person to have been to the worst parts of India, leaving no solid traces! Everyone else who I knew was there at that location were borderline on requiring nappies for the duration.

The same happened in Mozambique, and also in Brazil. I guess my packages consider themselves far too posh for the facilities in which they are kindly requested to reside within.

My son was diagnosed with fecal impaction and was put on movicol. It did shift it, but he was on it daily for months and months and months it's not a quick fix. You can buy it OTC here, for around 20chf.

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

Just some additional information here (for when it comes out); a comparison of your product can be made against the famous Bristol Stool Chart (always thought this was a joke, but it's quite serious in its content)

anyone-thread-suffer-constipation-problems-bristol.jpg

In Germany, they have Inspection Toilets, with a shelf on which your products are deposited upon, thereby facilitating a detailed inspection process (I personally hate these toilets and avoid them at all cost — they absolutely stink and I'm always scared of performing a 'controlled flight into terrain' with my hand during the cleaning process. And what if the extruded deposit has a length in excess of the distance between orifice and inspection shelf? Do you have to rise to create more vertical space, or do turds have an auto-curl feature? And I have not yet discovered what the inspection entails; is it just a visual inspection?)

Just as a humerous interlude (and remaining topic-specific), there was a scientific paper produced some years ago as regards penguins (link below):

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

Try these http://www.apothekestadelhofen.ch/ha...hrdragees.html
They are the best 'help' you can get when you have tried everything and need to go . Just pop one or 2 (but recommend you try one first ) down the hatch a bed time and in the morning.... job done

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

Can one buy "Black Forest Tea" in Switzerland?

Most excellent "flushing" product, you drink a cup of this tea in the evening (never in the day!) and next morning there`s only ONE place you have to visit before breakfast!

I`d heard about it in South Africa, as ladies I knew - with excelent figures, swore by this tea - to keep the system clean, and the figure slim.

I drank it once .... and the next morning ... Helooooo .... I could have sworn I`d been bottle-brushed, deep-cleansed, purified, that bowel, liver, kidneys, intestines, whatever else inside, was re-generated and back to original pristine condition! But Vot a Schtink!

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

Take a magnesium (or calcium/magnesium) supplement before going to bed. Migros and Coop do the 'fizzy tablet' ones.

That is basically black tea.
Whatever laxative tea or syrup you will drink, you will have the same results- pushing waste out. Same with laxative pills.
In my case, green tea helps also. But I do not like black tea at all.
Maybe you can find it in ZH at Bergapotheke. They have all kinds of tea there, I even found a very rare one for my husband. Or at Reformhaus.

Oh and speaking of keeping slim and good digestion. I have been taking some Aloe ferox pills that keep me going everyday and lost weight (maybe because I was so full of...) and yeap looking slimmer. Also feel much lighter.

Magnesium helps also.

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

A daily cup or two of green tea should work its little magic. I don't suffer from constipation but green tea usually makes things much much smoother

Other than that - plums and pears are also pretty great. Tomatoes of course, too.

Light exercise is also really beneficial - sit ups, stretching. Whatever suits you.

Massage maybe?

Re: anyone on this thread suffer from Constipation problems

Constipation can be the result of diet but in many cases it is the result of stress. We all have an autonomic nervous system. This is the system that reacts to stress. It is often referred to the fight or fight responses. There are many symptoms of stress; fast heart beat, quick breathing, stomach problems, cold and sweaty hands and tense muscles. All of our muscles are tense including the ones in our lower extremities. If we are tense then we are unable to release.

For more information and training on how to release from stress please contact me privately.
