Hey everyone .. Well yeah thank god I am pregnant we are very pleased and it's been a hell of a ride in this 3 month alone doing nothing in Zurich .. I was sick all day .. Sometimes crying alone till husband come from work at 6 ish ..

Anyway I have been searching hopelessly for a maternity shop in Zurich Mr google seems to direct me to small shop scattered everywhere in the city. And the funny is neither Jalmoli or Globous has a section for maternity. I need cloths I need trousers everything is so tight and I can't seems to fit on them ..

H&M has a correct maternity section for the basics.

The Cocoon brand on Laredoute.ch is quite nice too.

Congratulations!! I can't say that I've recall finding any maternity shops, but have you tried H&M? My wife liked to shop there for maternity stuff when we lived in Germany. The H&M stores here in Switzerland seem to be pretty similar.

Outside of that, you might try heading to Babywalz and ask the staff. I notice they have a section for Women's clothes on their website...

Well, propagating the species is a bit like that. I'm glad it had a memorable beginning and, ultimately, the desired result and, naturally, wish you well for the whole process.

Re: I am pregnant .. Where is all the baby stuff shops?

Congratulations!!!
I hope your morning sickness (or probably more accurate- all day sickness) has gotten better.
I am also pregnant and found a way to find maternity clothes.

The H&M on Bahnhoffstrasse is the store with the maternity section. The maternity selection is on the bottom floor. It's a good place to find the basics and some pants.
I found it difficult to find maternity clothes that fit me well. Most of the clothes are too large. So what I resorted to was actually looking for regular clothes that are naturally longer and flowier. Then I would purchase a size larger than I typically wear and the clothes look a lot better than the maternity clothes.

Good luck!

Re: I am pregnant .. Where is all the baby stuff shops?

Wehrli Babyhaus in Dietlikon has a quite big selection. They also have a shop near Schaffhauserstrasse tram shop, but I think they don't have a maternity clothes section there.

You may also try some shops selling bigger size clothes, some don't fit bad.

Re: I am pregnant .. Where is all the baby stuff shops?

H&M likely has best prices. If you are looking for something a bit more special for an occasion or just "feel good about myself" type outfit, in the next 6 months, there is a shop behind Musik Hug (between Grossmünster and Hug, right next door) that does clothes to accomodate a bump.

Congratulations!

Get in touch with some of the mother-baby groups in Zurich. There are 10-fold! Enroll in a pregnancy course.. yoga, whatever!
Search facebook? pin-up notes in the baby shops? (i am out of the scene)
There is no point in you sitting alone at home crying all day - thats not safe for you or your partner.

Don't use a site called 4Mums.eu! They take your money but don't send the items and do not reply to emails

Re: I am pregnant .. Where is all the baby stuff shops?

I can also vouch for Babyhaus Wehrli, H&M and C&A for maternity clothes. H&M had some useful clothes for after the baby was born for convenient feeding, however, their range also depended on the month I went shopping there. Just keep going if you don't see anything half decent as they bring new stuff out.

Re: I am pregnant .. Where is all the baby stuff shops?

Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on the kiner -borse events in Zurich.
Has any of you ever attended one of those events? Are they generally quite good and worthwhile?

I'll be looking for kids stuff (newborn), but also second-hand pregnancy clothes, but I'm not sure what to expect there.

Thanks for an advice.

Re: I am pregnant .. Where is all the baby stuff shops?

Congratulations and I hope you're feeling much better. I'm afraid I don't know of any physical shops but the UK store Next now has a Swiss online store and their maternity stuff is generally brilliant. As is the much-recommended H&M. Not many "Mainstream" stores seem to stock maternity clothes - annoyingly it all moved online. If there was ever a time when you needed to try clothes on in a store.... Best of luck.

Hi,

For brand new clothes, ASOS and Zalando are still are very good and reasonable choice- ASOS stocks over 400 pregnancy dresses and they're generally a good enough quality to keep you going through the few months you need them most.
