court in Zug, claiming alimony after separation

Perhaps it is not good idea to share such private details on public forum but I need to hurry and I don't know where else to ask. I recently separated from my husband and as it looks like there will be no agreement between us on how to share savings we have. I want to go to the court and claim alimonies from him for the time of separation. There is no other way if I want to stay in CH and get my own permit. My lawyer is on vacation so I don't want to bother her with emails. I also doubt she will answer now. Can you please tell me where is the court in Zug? Thank you, I.

Re: court in Zug, claiming alimonies after separation

Here is a list of women's advice bureaux, mostly in Zurich, but still worth contacting, if you need help understanding all the procedures:
https://www.google.ch/url?sa=t&rct=j...85076809,d.d24

In particular, infodona - for Immigrant women -
https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/sd/de/i...a/english.html
strictly speaking for residents of Zurich, but they may be networked and be able to suggest more local support/advisors for you

Here are more women's advice centres, not only in Zurich:
http://www.frauenzentralezug.ch/wich...enzentrale.php

If you or your children are have been subject to physical, verbal or sexual violence, or neglect, if you are in danger for your safety, or have nowhere to go:
http://www.eff-zett.ch/fachstellen/o...e-adressen.php

At any time of day or night, if you need someone to talk to, phone 143, "the Helping Hand". Not always guaranteed to find someone who speaks English, but you might.

If you already have a lawyer, wait for her to return and deal with it. If you go ahead and sort something out yourself you'll generate more work for them when they return and may end up screwing up the whole thing.

You are both best advised to come to fair alimony settlement as quickly as possible - preferably before the first court hearing - if you don't you'll accrue more lawyer and court costs. Both sides need to be realistic about what is fair.

and I am sorry to hear you've done that.
Drink later???

Joking.

I guess divorce in CH is better for me as I will get better protection here but I see it will take time.

How do you feel now? Was it long time ago? Are you generally happy you've done it? I know sometimes people regret...

Maybe that is your marriage problem.. your husband doesn't understand your humour...(or if he is Swiss, he may not have any humour).

Yeah, it was back in 2007. I feel fine, and it was a good thing because I moved to Zurich afterwards, and feel much more comfortable here than in east Switzerland.

Je ne regrette rien...

Sometimes I cut my finger and it hurts, I put a plaster on it but it doesn't heal properly, it becomes infected - in an effort to resolve the problem I see a professional, the infection means I lose the hand.

(Having married and divored here - and not getting fleeced - there is a time to fix relationship and there is a time to walk away.)

It was not intended as a joke but purely a metaphor, so the sarcasm reference is simply reflective on your part. Other than that I let the audience decide.

And it's not an ego thing, I've experienced all sides. I've ended relationships that have had potential and others that didn't. And been on the receiving of the same.

My divorce was a classic. My ex left me for someone else, citing irreconcilable differences, even though I was prepared to work on it. But after that broke down, she then suddenly wanted to try again. I'm not perfect, but I'm not a fool.

Bottom line: If we are all honest with ourselves, we've all been guilty of taking the path of least resistance in our search for a compromise between love, security and happiness, and none of it is easy. And well-to-do first world life has raised our expectations and shortened our patience. And it is that, that is most sad and most true.
