Does anyone know if the International Schools in Geneva provide an after school care service? I am moving to Geneva and will be working full time, my daughter is currently attending Pre School in Wales that is available from 8 am to 5.30 pm. She is 4 years old and is fluent in both French and English. Thank you. Paula

My son (just turned 6) is in his 2nd year at the Institut International du Lancy (www.iil.ch) formally College Marie-Therese.

They do have an English section but he is in the French section, and loves it there. I drop him off at 8am and he has to be picked up from after school by 6pm. (He pretty much refuses to come home if you arrive too early...) We're very happy with the school indeed.

There may well be a waiting list (there was when we enrolled...) so it would be worth speaking with them sooner rather than later. They also run holiday clubs during the school holidays (8.30-5).

Just wandered what you like about Lancy? I have my kids enrolled for September, but very nrevous as they are coming from a very small school with plush green fileds! It looked like a concrete jungle - but its hard to judge a book by its cover!

We are very happy with the school, and our son loves it there. It may be different to what you experience at present, but I can certainly vouch for the quality of the teaching and the happy atmosphere (my son is in the French section, but we have friends with kids in the English section and they are equally happy).
