Temporary Daycare

Does anyone know of options for temporary "casual" daycare/creche facilities for a 2.5 year old child in Zurich area?

Our son has a place in the local krippe commencing May. My husband will be looking after him until then. But we are looking for casual backup care in case he has meetings or interviews, or just needs to get stuff done.

I have heard of Tammy's daycare and that looks like an option, but wondering if there are any others. I have looked into playgroups, but they all require registration and a fixed place for a minimum amount of time.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Temporary Daycare

There is also the Glogge-Hüeti run by YWCA in the Center of Zurich (near Jelmoli/Bahnhofstrasse). Information can be found here http://www.cevizuerich.ch/de/angebote/gloggespiel1 (German) or here in English http://www.cevizuerich.ch/en/gloggi_...re_gloggespiel
They offer drop-in hours and it is not religous. I don't work there but a friend of mine does. Please note that as far as I know the People working there are not educated in the pre-School field but simply like children and like to Play with them. For me this is enough for a back-up once in a while Option but just wanted to let you know.
Hope that helps.

Re: Temporary Daycare

Tammys was great when I moved here and was working 100% but only had 80% chilcare.
Also, see if there is a local ELCH (I think) centre, there was one near me that later did two mornings a week, one of which co-incided with one of the missing parts of my kinderkrippe cover.
Not that I had a problem with Tammy's, but it was much closer for my home and quicker to the krippe by work.
