Anyone had a post dural puncture whilst having an epidural during childbirth?

My daughter had a lovely baby boy 3 weeks ago but during the delivery was given an epidural. Unfortunately, she suffered a post dural puncture which left her feeling most unwell and she had to have a blood patch.
Initially successful, she went home but was rushed back into hospital again with a crippling headache - this is a symptom of a puncture due to leakage of the fluid
She had the patch again and was sent home a few days later but continues to feel tired, bad back pains and has now developed bad sores around her mouth.

She is now booked in for an MRI but has no idea of when she can start to feel well again.
Anyone suffered this - would be interested to know how they got on.

Can I siggest you try Mumsnet. It's a really friendly forum and maybe you will find some other Mums who have had the same experience.
I hope she recovers really soon.

I'm not expert and could be totally off on this but I have to ask, did they given her a pain medication called Novalgin? It's commonly prescribed for pain like your daughter is experiencing. The active ingredient is called Metamizole. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metamizole

I only ask because i was given this medication after a surgery in Germany and it caused me very similar symptoms with body sores and complete exhaustion, I didn't know why I wasn't healing as was expected. Eventually I was diagnosed with neutropenia. I could have died from this if the doctor didn't recognize it when he did. The medication is banned in North America and many other countries for this reason but still used widely here in Europe.

I hope it's not the case and your daughter gets well and healthy again soon.
