In defense of Texas Holdem, it isn't exactly gambling. That is a competitive game requiring some mathematical imagination, psychology and nerves of steel.

I don't know. Gambling's brought our family closer together.

We had to move to a one-bedroom flat.

I can still remember how you supported gambling in the Cannonball Run, and now this.

Re: Gambling and what to do if it comes in your family

The last two months Slammer has been working at a online gambling "Den" answering e-mails and responding to the live chat (it's a job that sucks harder than a Russian hooker). What people don't realize is that although the games are not rigged in any way the "Den" always holds the cards.
Mostly I deal with compulsive gamblers whining and begging for freebies like cash bonus or freespins or added points, depending on the amount they have wagered we can give them away, it keeps them gambling, I also deal with the so-called responsible gambling issues.
Every casino has roughly the same ways to assist compulsive gamblers such as setting limits or a timed expulsion or a complete closure of the account, the laws are extremely strict and a compliant from a gambling addict to the regulating powers can close a casino down in a heartbeat.
Thing is the buggers know that damn well and often blackmail us to giving them bonuses.
In the last two months I have never encountered such a bunch of mean, aggressive, whiny, selfish and greedy sons and daughters of Beeitches in one place.
I come to the conclusion that people who gamble have a screw loose.

You're not going to get good odds on that. I suggest insulting him again and then running a spread on how long it takes for him to understand.

EF? Amateurs,
"I have to win something RIGHT NOW, I have spent all my food money for this month"
"You shouldn't have let me play,I have a gambling problem and I want my money back since I started playing."
"You have cheated and I am going to complain to the commission, by my calculations I should have won 3.75£ and you only paid 3.50£ I have gotten my lawyers onto the case of my missing money"
"I am going to commit suicide, I have no more money"
etc, etc.
Then you get the abusive ones and the death threats in poor grammar and the "inch ficke deine Muttah." it's so tiring, especially in a nine hour shift.
And then you have to stay polite to the bat wards, (after a two hour chat with a customer wanting a bonus he is not entitled to) "Do you like wasting my time Dickhead???
Me: "Yes I like wasting time"
Him: "so, is that true"
Normally, in my world I would have given the guy short shift. In this world however my 24 year old supervisor came flying in a panic, and I had to spend the next one and a half hours groveling and begging for forgiveness for my off-color and inappropriate remark.

I hate this job, wretched gamblers.

Surely it is "Slammer hates this job" or "Has Slammer found this job has stopped Slammer talking in the 3rd person?"
