| || |Isn't it a bit late for braces? I thought teeth straightening could only be done when you're a kid/teenager as the teeth are still able to be moved into a different position. Anyway I would expect it to cost way more than 4k here to get it done. No idea of costs in Germany. | |

Until you have your own teeth it is never too late for braces! :-) Only implants are not movable. Actually the grown-ups (adults) make the biggest market for braces. Tastes change, and beautiful teeth are no longer for the movie stars and politicians. We do plenty of Invisalign and quick-move braces (like Fastbraces) treatments for adults. Pricing (at least what we charge, can't speak for the rest of Swiss dentists) is CHF 3k to CHF 6k - depending on the difficulty of the case and whether patient chooses clear or metal braces. Invisalign will be about CHF 500 more expensive - i.e. CHF 3.5k - CHF 6.5k - again, depending on the difficulty of the case.
We suspect we may be slightly on the cheaper side for Switzerland, but we've got a fairly big contingent of Brits patients and they are a fickle, price-comparing bunch, so we try to be competitive with Britain and Germany. We occasionally run specials out in the Marketplace/Commercial forum and it would so happen we have one right now on Fastbraces.
