Re: Extremely depressed and homesick (I think) - need advice.

I concur with Iain the most. It does sound like depression from the symptoms you have described. Although you may know the trigger, homesickness, it doesn't detract from how awful you're feeling. You don't need to go through this alone and many things can help. Definitely see a good doctor that speaks English (or your mother tongue) well as soon as you can. They will assess you and refer you on appropriately as needed. Talking therapies are an excellent starting point, and can be used in conjunction with medications as they can take some time to take full effect. I'm really sorry you're going through this and I hope you're feeling better soon. Some sun, chats with friends (new and old) and exercise certainly won't do any harm if you can muster the energy. Take care and good luck, X

Hi ZuriRollt, I'm not very good at EF yet and was replying to the first post. I stupidly didn't check the date or the other 2 pages of responses😬Sorry.

Re: Extremely depressed and homesick (I think) - need advice.

Hi there,
I saw your thread and wondered how you were doing. Probably not much time left on your contract. I hope things got better for you ...
(a newbie worried about the weather/feeling isolated/homesick in CH too).
