Finally I've booked my ticket to come back to Bern.I'm swiss but I lived for the last 5years in Ireland. Now I'm a single mum with a year old daughter.
I was wondering if there is an english speaking playgroup in Bern? Or any english speaking family with kids around the same age as my daughter,who would be interested to meet up? I want to keep up speaking english to my daughter as it is essential that she speaks it!
Would be nice to meet some families from all over the world!

there are certainly a lot of folks around with ankle biters, myself & Colnoel Boris included.

Playgroups can be found at St Ursula's Church in Bern & also at Jamboree (Hirschengraben), would link, but am a little rushed.

There's the "English-Speaking-Playgroup" (ESP) in Berne.

I just recently read, from another thread somewhere on this forum, about the "American Women's Club" -- it was for Zurich, but I did a quick search and there is also a group in Bern:

The have activities for people with children (see "Kids Corner" on their website). It appears that you do not have to be American to participate (just be fluent in English). I don't have any experience with this group, but pass it along so you can to check it out if you'd like.
