Hi,
I am looking for a playgroup/get together for me and my child within the city and I haven't really found one within the city. So I'm thinking of starting one at the Schindlergut community center, a nice spot with two playgrounds and a coffee shop within the park on top of the Letten.
Any interest ladies? My son is almost 4 months old and I think he is tired of my face. I am wary enough of the mommy world without adding a layer of complexity (language) so it would be really great if this works out.

Not sure if you have had any more interest but i know of other au pairs that would be interested. . . Unless this is a MUMS ONLY thing

I apologize for misleading anyone with the "mom" in the title, I was thinking of dad and other care-givers too, so of course you'd be welcome SherryLady! I'll try to organize something in the next few weeks and I'll post it in the events section.

I have an 11 month old girl and would also be really interested in joining an English playgroup. Will keep an eye out for details.

Please dont be offended in any way. There is also i forum on here about aupairs meeting in starbucks every week and thought this may be the mothers group to that Im sure alot of the girls from there would be interested too

Schindlergut is a great community centre next to a 'hidden' park. There are many English speakers in the neighbourhood, so I'm sure it would be a successful plan to start regular meet-ups there. Remember to post a note on the notice board there to attract others who have yet to experience the pleasure of EF

i also would be interested. I am a nanny and a mom!! I also go to a pregnant moms group (coz my pregnant friend runs it) but there are so many of us and we take over starbucks!! Will be even worse once the babies start popping out...strollers everywhere!!!

I will mention it to them as im sure they will be interested sooner or later!
Just one question where abouts is Schindlergut?

It's a hidden community centre in a park built above the Milchbuch tunnel entrance, above the Oberer Lettern swimming and drinking area.

Take the 32 or 46 bus to Nordstrasse stop, then look on the map there to find your bearings, or take the 11 or 14 trams to Kronenstrasse and walk down that road until you get to the park.

I love this GZ. I took my Mother there one morning for a coffee. There was nobody in apparent charge, a few Mums milling about. I walked behind the counter, made two cappuccinos, took some Gipfeli and cleaned up afterwards. I also put money in the honesty box. My Mother was amazed with Switzerland!
