Sort of equivalent - but totally different. In the UK students only do 2 years for 'A'Levels'. They take
4 subjects only for year 12, called AS Levels, then only
3 for the A'Levels in Year 13. The choice for A' Levels is much wider - including music, drama, Physical Education, IT, psychology, media studies, sociology, etc- as well as the usual academic subjects.
