Recommend play parks for kids in Zurich

Hello. In this rainy weather, I'm thinking about taking my boys (4.5 and 8.5 years) to one of the play parks in/around Zurich. For example, Milandia, KinderCity, Bambino, Planet Magica or others. Are they crowded, good value, good quality games, good service, great for kids but boring for parents, etc. Appreciate any recommendations... Thanks

Maybe you can try Trampolino ( http://www.trampolino.info ) in Dietikon, or Starbie ( http://www.starbie.ch ), also in Dietikon.

Don't forget, there is technorama (www.technorama.ch), which I think very good for children since they can play and have fun with science...

have fun,
Ollie

Re: Recommend play parks for kids in Zurich

In German:

Bambinos
Grubenstrasse 30, 8045 Zürich
Telefon: 043 819 30 30
EMail:info@bambinos.ch

Yes, Technorama is great for all the family - we've been a few times and it's always been hard to get the kids home again...

Am looking more for first-hand experiences/reviews rather than pointers to websites. Thanx.

Re: Recommend play parks for kids in Zurich

My kids almost 12 and almost 9 both LOVE Trampolinos.

My younger one and I have a membership to Kindercity which he enjoys but is a very different experience as it is more like an experiential chidren's museum IMO than a play place.

Planet Magica is nice but very, very small compared to Trampolinos - not a place for my older son.

Re: Recommend play parks for kids in Zurich

Hi was wondering if there are any indoor play areas/parks either in Zurcih or Zug? Or can anyone recommend something else? Trampolino and Kindercity a little bit further out then intended.

Re: Recommend play parks for kids in Zurich

If you are looking for something simple and free, many of the local community centers provide safe indoor play spaces, and have coffee, tea, and small snacks for sale. In Hottingen, the Gemeinschaftzentrum on Klosbachstrasse operates a Pflegiraum on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and Wednesday mornings. The children range from infants through kindergarten age or so, although I think occasionally older, and there is usually a good mix of local and expat families there.

Re: Recommend play parks for kids in Zurich

Our boys have recently been to birthday parties held at Starbies in Dietikon and have had a great time. From what I heard it can get loud, but that doesn't seem to disturb the children. The parents have recommended it too!

We went to ( http://www.starbie.ch ), in Dietikon today, really great place, lots of things to do there for younger children. Really easy to find, train to Dietikon and then the number 309 bus to Riedstrasse (the bus stop is right outside the place). There are also several large discount stores there. Well worth a day out (CHF 13 )

Re: Recommend play parks for kids in Zurich

Any suggestions on how to find one of these community centers? I am in Cham, too far out for the many play parks it seems they have in the Zurich area, so I need to find something in Zug, Cham, Baar.. any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've heard that there is a new indoor play place opening in Baar. I know where it is but I have no idea of the name of the street which is as good as useles!! If you are coming from Blickensdorf you would turn right at the roundabout towards the Blindschule (direction Zug) if that makes any sense. If not I'll try to drive by so I can give better directions.

Thanks! (don't have enough posts to thank you without creating a separate post!) I think I can find it based on your directions!
