Dermatologist in Basel

HI Everyone!

I am new in Basel and have a never-ending skin problem. Can someone recommend a really good dermatologist in Basel?

A dermatologist who can deal with African American skin is an added plus but I am willing to see any good dermatologist.

Olten is only a 30 minute or so train ride away. If you don't mind travelling that far, I can recommend Dr Spirig. He's a great dermatologist.

I have to visit every three months or so and like his manner.

Please could you give more info about him. Does he speak english?

This in Basel is really good and speaks excellent English.

Location is also handy, as it is just a couple of stops from the SBB on trams 1 and 8, as well as a couple of bus lines.

I just called this doctor and apparently they don't speak English.

You beat me to it Carlo... He is my Dr. as well.

a second recommendation I guess. Yes the Dr can speak English, his receptionist just can't. Ask for the Dr, he will come to the phone. Good luck!

Hi

I can warmly recommend the practice of Dres Jan Izakovic and Bostjan Pernus. I have a never ending skin problem too, and these guys come across as extremely competent (as opposed to some dermatologists I have had dealings with before). Dr. Izakovic has been teaching in the US so he may even have experience with African American skin type(s). Otherwise, they have at least dealt with my two daughters who have one african parent
