Hi, I lived UK before and got my cod liver oil from Holland and Barret. But I haven't managed to find any cod liver oil in Zurich. Does anybody know where to get it?

Cant seem to buy Cod Liver Oil...

Good old (and cheap - I guess) days....
Guess your best option is to ask one of your colleagues who happen to pop-out to the UK to get several packages for you - you might be even lucky and get these on special offer! H&B have these all the time now.

You can get Omega 3 fish oil capsules in most pharmacies if that's what you're looking for. I live in the French part of Switzerland and buy a brand called Burgerstein EPA which is from a company in Rapperswil. So if I can get it you can. Just ask for Fischöl. Can't say if it comes from a cod but when did cod have a monopoly on Omega 3.

It's called "Lebertran" and you can get it at the drug store, pharmacy or health food stores. Liquid (yuk!) and capsules are sold. Omega 3 is fish oil but they remove the liver first before processing ie not cod liver oil, just fish oil.

I'm surprised there are enough cod being landed these days. Just out of interest, does cod liver oil have any benefit over Omega 3 fish oil?

• Cod liver oil contains undefined amounts of Omega-3 and vitamins A&D. Cod-liver-oil is a natural product and may vary, depending on when, where and how it was made.
• Omega-3 is a defined substance. Might be sensible to buy Omega-3 capsules and supplement with Vitamins A and D, as necessary.
