I've seen Moonpig advertised on British TV, but never used it before today. So easy, so good, value for money and highly recommended. My dear old Mum, will love the personalised card.

What a sweet and kind tribute, jrspet. Thank you. Might I add a special tribute to all of the expat mothers who have left children behind and can't be with them today. Here's to you, Mom, and remember that it is because of you and your wise teachings and capable raising that you are able to leave them in a far-away place with confidence in their ability to survive on their own.

My Mother spent my child allowence on gin and cigarettes and left me a 'latch-key kid' from nine years onwards, but I'm not bitter

yeah, there's definitely one or two categories of mothers missing in that above mentioned list...

How about mothers who have lived their lives loving and supporting their children and gone on to the next world/their next lives/are travelling the cosmos/passed on into oblivion (whichever you believe)?

My mum was almost everything a child could wish for.
