Is there anyone interested in joining a playgroup in St Louis, France?

This would take place from around 2.30pm to 4.30pm one Wednesday every month in a room equipped with toys/equipment. The location is Maison de l'Enfance ( a lovely bright newish nursery, Rue Vauban, 68300 St Louis.) It is a couple of streets back from the main street, and can be easily walked to from either the bus from Basel or from St Louis train station.

They have offered it to us FREE of cost, but to take the offer up, we have to form an association of seven people.

This group would be for any interested mums (who can speak English!) and is primarily aimed at those with babies/toddlers, but extra older children would of course be welcome.

This is a nice opportunity to have a regular place to meet up. In order to go ahead, we do need at least seven people to commit themselves - it doesn't mean you have to come every time, but you'd have to sign up and pay an annual fee (to cover insurance and maybe arts/crafts)

Sounds great, I am new to Basel and have 2 year old twin boys who are desperate for some playmates as am I!

Hi Basel Brush, there are quite a few playgroups in Basel itself which may also suit you. I have just been here since last August, but have some ideas. We also go to a playgroup in Crossroads church in Reinacher strasse every Tuesday morning. I'm sure you have probably heard of Open Door and Centrepoint (if not, there's info on them here somewhere!) and also Kindermusic and babygym, both a bit expensive though if you have twins. What part of Basel do you live in?

This is just a reminder that the Saint Louis mums and toddlers group has already met a few times. Have a coffee while your little one is playing. There is a 2 euro contribution for coffee/biscuits each session which is open to all, and then if you want to join, there is a yearly membership. Is this toddler group still happening? If so when is the next one and where can I find you?! My little boy is 16 months, and I have been looking for a mother/toddler group in Basel area on days when I don't work (Mon, Tues, Wed). I think Kindermusik / Gymboree are good but very expensive and I don't like to be tied to a class each week.
