anyone know about HIFU treatment?

Hi,
I live in Colorado. I visit Switzerland once a year (love it!!), so I have great respect for you guys.

If a guy gets prostate cancer in the USA he won't be told about the option of HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound), as he would need to leave the country to get it. We only support surgery or radiation.

But I hear it's been in use in the EU for 18 years. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Is it done frequently? Success rate? HIFU for anything else--like breast cancer?

Thanks a bunch,
Donna

Re: anyone know about HIFU treatment?

Hi Donnat,

I don't know about the HIFU treatment. Just would like to share with you have you heard of Raw-Food Smoothie-Immune-Rejuvenation-Diet by Dr Tom Wu (who fought for his lung cancer 30 years ago and now he is at his 70s, still looking young, good and health)

Dr Wu had first studied Western medicine in France, and then furthered his education in alternative therapy, earning a doctorate degree.

The turning point arrived when he was diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 30. Modern medicine gave him no hope; it was too late to remove the damaged parts of the lung. The cancer had already spread to other organs, and the doctor told him he had only a few months left.

In his despair, Dr Wu picked up the Bible and prayed to God. Then the Bible fell to the floor, and he read the page it opened to carefully. The chapter talked about the days God created the Earth and everything needed for human beings. Then he created Adam and Eve, and told both of them that plants, vegetables and seeded fruits growing on Earth have been provided for them to eat.

Yet he decided to follow the Bible's guidance. He ate a lot of vegetables and fruits, drank clean water, and completely adjusted his lifestyle - his sleeping, breathing and exercise habits.

Nine months later, he went for a check-up, and surprisingly no cancer cells were detected.

He advised people in his family and in the neighbourhood about his discovery, and studied natural medicine until he received a doctorate degree in naturopathy and nutrition from the US.

The secrets of how he won the fight against lung cancer and maintains a healthy body are revealed in his first book, Dr Wu's Principle of Natural Cures, which has recently been translated from its original Chinese version into a Thai edition, Thammachart Chuay Chewit, published by Nanmeebooks Publications. It was launched in Thailand in March this year.

Try to google his name Dr.Tom Wu
I hope this help

If you Google 'HIFU site:.ch' it will produce a lot of results, although most seem to be in German there is this one in English.

Google will show you more info.

Like any other aggressive method, HIFU can damage good tissue as well as destroy diseased tissue.

I have not heard of HIFU being widely used in Switzerland. Maybe you can talk to a Swiss urologist the next time you are here.

A - Yes, i do believe. As I'm making the Raw-Food-Smoothie-Immune-Rejuvenation-Diet for myself 2 weeks ago. It doesn't taste good at all. Still i think i should give it a try at least there's a hope.

B - I'm not trying to be funny and I know it is not.

I just want to share what i found out and I'm sorry for sharing.

Donnat, i'm not mean to high jack your topic and i do apologize.

Cheers

Re: anyone know about HIFU treatment?

WOW! That brain HIFU story was fantastic! Go Swiss! thanks B-bear for that site!

Goldtop, sorry you are wrong, HIFU does not damage ordinary tissue, it doesn't stop in watery tissue, only hits hard tissue--tumors, HIFU won't touch cysts, because they are water based. But thanks for the link goldtop...

My husband has had HIFU, we had to go to Mexico to have it done, as the USA is only interested in the expensive cures. No money in HIFU, proton beam radiation is top of the line, costs $250,000. HIFU was $25,000. Our doctor is American and he brings his entire surgical staff to Mexico to treat men. Hubby is fine, cancer is gone.

I asked because I get a lot of cr+p from people, so I wanted to hear what the Swiss take on it is. HIFU is an art, it takes skill, I'm surprised it isn't the gold standard for prostate cancer in Switzerland.

Whitelady, cancer is cells that don't die like they should, they just keep reproducing, sometimes this process just rights itself on it's own, which is what I assume happened to that guy...or he is selling something. But, stories like that kill, as my sister drank so much carrot juice she turned orange, and she did all the other junk....no one has the exact receipe for that...and it doesn't work (period).
