Traditional Scouting -KIds? Dadīs... Ray Mears?

Dear Forum,
Are ther any Parents or Kids interested in traditional or BP Scouting?
Are there any Dads out there who would like a Ray Mears style weekend in the Toggenberg? We have the training and the land...
Or are there any of you who allready know of scouting here and could help us?
Our kids just dont seem to get on the modern "light" scouting as there grandfathers , dads & peers are all from a traditional background & we as adults find it hard to distingquish between Scout & Leader...
Anyone else had this experience?
Simon.

Not sure what you have in mind, we are not that far away, however our kids go to Beevers every three weeks and are in the forest, cooking dough bread and having a great time, like how scouts used to be.

Would be up for something, but what have you in mind.

Just seen the thread on Bees, i have interest but would like to learn more.

The boys over here ( My son as well ) are aged 8 and upwards. We thought we would try , My daughter is 6 , just started school.

The basic idea was to get back to the original BP Scouting idea , what these kids need is hands on stuff , practical experience in Backwoodsmanship and Pioneering.

So as we have a large woodland and a stream we would propose a Bridge building project over a weekend as a get to know experience and meet and talk to other parents about what we could do.

Nice quote from 'School of Rock':

"The parents have no sense of humour when it comes to their children"

Er, fab idea as I think it is, won't you be immediately tied up in all sorts of liability issues? But I'd be pleased to join in something like this

We have two 6 year olds close bye who would be up for it, just need some advance notice, since wewekends are fairly busy.
