My wife has just found out she is pregnant does anbybody know a really good english speaking obstetrician in Zurich. In the city would be handy.

I live in Basel so really can not help but I believe if you go to the university hospital you are going to find one there (ast least one that is). Also, check with your insurance company and they can provide you with a list. I know that it would be better to get a recommendation from another patientds but believe me I am quite impressed with the health system in Switzerland. All doctors I have seen for far have been incredible!

There's an Obs and Gobs thread here, which maybe of use

I can highly recommend Dr Rabner. He is located just a few minutes walk from Parade Platz, so very central. He speaks excellent english, he has lots of expat patients so he is more understanding of cultural differences than some other doctors and he is great.

A few of the girls I work with have used Dr. Savoldelli.
He speaks excellent english and is really lovely. He is old and his one of the receptionsist doesnt speak english but the other does. I have seen him a few times and always been professional and helpful, although I just only used him for my annual check ups.
