We're living outside of Basel ourselves but a lot of our friends recommend Dr. Herz near Schutzenmattpark (he even made a house call to a friend on Christmas day!)

But there are a lot of paediatricians around Basel and the majority do speak English - it's worth phoning up whoever in the phone book is closest to your house because sometimes the distance to the doctors surgery is just as important as getting someone you like.

Good luck with your move - Allschwil is a nice area. Lots of English speaking families around there too.
