| We live in an apartment with washing machine/ dryer so washing is not a concern... What I have been hearing is that baby's skin needs to be exposed to fresh air quite often and cloth nappies do that very effectively as diapers are all polymers and like.
Also, initially, for the first few weeks that is, diapers should be avoided to see the quantum and color of urine and poop discharge!
Any views on this?

Euh... dont worry too much would be my advice
Choose the system you like best and unless there is aphysical issue (i.e. nappy allergy or so), little one will be fine.
Fresh air: when my one was a baby I left her for 15-20 mins each evening before nigth ritual in naked state on an absorbant mat. She kicked around nacked and liked it
quantum and color of urine and poop discharge: euh... really never heard this and mostly, never had time/inclination to worry too much. Colour of poop you will see the same and urine too. For quantum, as long as something is coming out at regulart intervals, all is well
Net: choose the method that you think works best for you and then see if it fits baby. baby will nromally be quite happy to comply
It wll be fine really, no matter what you choose!
