Re: Informal Play Group in Zug?

Hello Orshi and Zugmom,

I propose we just meet at the brassy/copper building down by the lake regardless of the weather and move somewhere more convenient if it is raining? I'll check the posts before leaving to see if you have arranged something different......otherwise, I'll see you there.

Re: Informal Play Group in Zug?

Just for the record: we had a nice time on Wednesday( duck-feeding, coffee, chat,sausage-hunting in different restaurants, lunch).
This week our target was Starbucks. It was a nice time again.... (coffee,chat,baby-cries..etc)

Re: Informal Play Group in Zug?

Hi we are a South African Family moving to Zug area in November 09 and would like to join some of the playgroups. I have a 22 Month old boy and a newborn who would love to make some new friends! Are there any groups going that we could possibly join?

Re: Informal Play Group in Zug?

Hi there! There is one playgroup that is currently meeting informally at people's homes. The oldest child is 1 yr old, and the other children are about 8-10mths. The moms are all very friendly. It's pretty new and just getting organized. Send "zugmum" a message on englishforum. I have lived in zug for about a month and have a 2.5 year old. I'm looking for an informal group of kids about that age. If I find another one, I'll let you know. You can also try the International Mums and Kids Club (www.IMKC.ch). They have age specific programs that are more formal (crafts, reading time, etc). Good luck! If you would like to meet at a park or something for playtime, let me know when you arrive.

Re: Informal Play Group in Zug?

Hi there, know this is an older post but wondered how the informal play group has taken off?
We have been living in Hunenberg for about a month now and would be interested in getting together with english speaking moms and kids. My daughter is nearly 3 and is now calling every bug her friend... (she is missing her highly social lifestyle we left behind - as am I

Re: Informal Play Group in Zug?

Hello! I live in Zug and have participated in various playgroups around, but most have been made up of children who are much younger than my son who turned 3 in April. I have met several families with children closer to Max's age and have been just meeting with them individually. Max and I would be happy to have another friend! Our neighbor, who is very nice, has a little girl who will be 3 in November. Perhaps we can make a little "playgroup" of our own. I'd be happy to invite some moms/kids over for a playdate so you can meet them, and it would be nice to have a group over anyway just to play.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in something like that, and if nothing else, maybe we can just meet at a park or something the first time and let Max and your daughter play while we chat! Max has school Tue/Thur mornings, but we are otherwise free.

Warm Regards, Kristi Helmer

Re: Informal Play Group in Zug?

Hi,

If you need someone who will provide some new activities - language, movement, art crafts, games and nursery rhymes please give me a shout. I live in Zug and would love to do something positive for the English speaking community here. I don't have kids of my own yet but I have quite a lot experience in teaching preschool children, running group activities and play groups. I am also looking for English speaking friends here so this idea seems to be perfect. I will be delighted to organize something for kids here and to contribute smg. to expats community. I hope to be ready for the classes/meeting in January. Please PM me for more information. If you have any particular expectations according to the ideas, subject for activites or how the classes should look like please feel free to ask. I should be able to follow any suggestions. If anyone would be interested I also offer babysitting in Zug and baby massage tutorials.

Hope to meet you soon and Have a Wonderful Christmas,
Izabela
