Re: Mothers, mums, moms in Neuchatel

Hi everyone...
I was interested in starting up or joining a Neuchatel english-speaking group for new moms. Anyone still interested? I was thinking we could start meeting some time in the fall.
Let me know
Thanks!
Gwen

Hi Gwen!
I'm really interested about this group. I think we're already 3 moms...we could meet in the next weeks with our baby at the lake for a coffee or an ice-cream.
Any other mom who wants to come?
Pumuki

Ice-cream would be nice but hope the weather holds up

Fingers crossed for the fete this weekend - my OH is organising a free music festival during the festivities so I'm really hoping it will be ok for him!

I'm not a new mum by any means as my 'baby' is 11 already but I'm happy to meet up for a coffee and a chat.
I can't give you specific advice about the hospital here but I may be able to give you some poiters about things you need to do.

We'll be on holiday for the next couple of weeks but PM if you want to meet up after that.
Ok, I make this trial: how about to catch up this week? The weather seems ok. Let's get a coffee together.

Pick day & time!

PS.
I'm Italian, from Naples

I'm pretty free except for Thursday! An afternoon would probably be best... Say around 2:30/3?

I'm not a mom but I enjoy kids and would love to meet up too if the childless are permitted...

You're welcome to come along in my books! Sure!
Ideally, I'd like to go somewhere to meet where babies/ children are welcomed and I won't feel in the way with my pushchair - does anyone know anywhere in Neuchâtel (well I think indoors now... winter is here) where you can have a coffee but there is space for little ones to play?

Or am I dreaming?

I am not a big fan of MacDonalds, but they are child friendly!

This one has an indoor play room for the older kids,

Thanks for the input Ittigen, although I'm not really that keen on hanging out in McDonalds.... There's got to be something else! Even a migros café is better than McDonalds!

Re: Mothers, mums, moms in Neuchatel

in Bern, every Wednesday morning beginning at 09:15, there is an English speaking mums & kids group meeting in the English church of St Ursula. http://www.stursula.ch/whos_who.html Parents and Tots, contact Lori Hughes (078 629 92 98) or Sarah Miescher (031 351 41 49)

You need to take the train to Bern. Leave the station and cross Bahnhofplatz, cross the tram lines, and to the right is the Gotthard cinema.

The number 19 bus leaves this bus stop towards Elfenau, you need to get off at Bern Tierpark and walk up a slight hill to the Church, entrance on the other east side! http://map.search.ch/bern/jubilaeumsplatz-2

Re: Mothers, mums, moms in Neuchatel

Thanks again for the info - for me Bern is too far, I'm already an hour from Neuch! (Maybe for the others though...) It would be ideal to start something in La Chaux-de-Fonds, but I don't think there's many English speakers here!
