Brazilian Portuguese Play Groups

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any Brazilian play groups for babies and/or young children in the greater Zurich area. I am willing to travel quite a bit in case there are none around here so if you know one outside this area I would still be interested.
If it turns out that there aren't any I was wondering if there are any Brazilian parents who would be interested in setting up a play group for their kids together with me. My daughter is 30 months old.

I really appreciate your help.
Cheers,
CG210

Re: Brazilian Portuguese Play Groups

Hi Fla,

It looks like we are the only ones on the forum who are interested
Unfortunately I don't know any Brazilians with children in Switzerland - do you know more Brazilians with children who might be interested in meeting up with the kids? Playing with other children in Portuguese is such a good way for them to keep the language 'alive'.
Obrigada!

I have heard that there is a playgroup at the church in Baar. I too would be interested for the kids but I don't speak enough to call up and ask.

Hi Marie,

do you know which church in Baar? My German is very limited but I could try speaking to them.

Re: Brazilian Portuguese Play Groups

There is a Portuguese Mass at the St. Martin church in Baar at 9.15 every sunday. I just looked at their website and I see no creche for kids though. http://www.pfarrei-baar.ch/gottesdienst.htm

We have a spanish speaking lady at my son's spielgruppe in Zug and now they do Spanish classes. My son is 4 and he understands Portuguese but is scared to speak. I would love to find him somewhere nearby.

Searching for "portugiesische spielgruppe site:.ch" in google I see these ones:

There is one in Winterthur: http://www.spielgruppenwinti.ch/spie...toess_2010.pdf

One in Zurich:

Deutsch, Italienisch, Englisch und Portugiesisch:
Spielgruppen Röslichnopf
